2 Errors occured while loading game and when trying to register.

1ST ERROR - WHILE LOADING

2nd Error - WHILE REGISTERING

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Windows\system32\dc3prefs.xml' is denied.

Details: Windows Vista Home Prem 64 bit
Tried loading game normally and as administrator
Tried registering with clipboard and manually using my DC3 registration code

Downloaded beta DC3 again and still the same error.

Other Problems
Can't use the check for updates and options links in game (Does not work).
Is the new beta update through the game link or website.

Hi,
thanks for testing the beta.
The first error is caused by the 64bit Windows trying to load a 32bit dll.
This error should be fixed with the latest beta version!
The second error is a more general problem:
The "old" version of Diamond Caves 3 stores all data in the program folder. With Vista and Windows7 this is no longer possible because of missing administrative rights.
I am currently thinking of a way that works with both worlds: Existing users should be able to play all installed levelgroups - new users (with new windows versions) should be able to play the game as well.
Please try to install the latest beta to see if the first problem (BadImageFormatException) is gone.

Extra items: options and check for updates are not working.
